Lovely Bread So Easy

I think I will re-name No Knead Bread to Never Fail Bread!  I am using up all my flour and ingredients before my kitchen renovation begins.  I can't remember when I mixed up this bread....eeek!  I think it must have been Wednesday morning but perhaps it was Tuesday evening.  I set the pan in the cold oven to proof.

It is now Thursday morning and I thought, maybe I should make that bread today  (forgot it was already proofing).  I opened the oven and there was my dough!  It was stickier than I was used to so I mixed it down with a little bread flour and I plopped it onto a piece of parchment paper for the final proofing.  I covered with a towel and let it sit for another hour.

My No Knead Recipe is here.  I used about a cup of multigrain flour and the rest was bread flour.  The bread was wonderful, even though I completely forgot about it and have no idea how long it was sitting!

  1. This "accidental" bread looks wonderful!! I love baking bread and I'm certainly trying this one. Wondering if I should also forget about it for a couple of days... hehe

  2. Perfect bread... and I love the crazy flour design on top... it's great when you forget something and good things happen (instead of science experiments which is what usually happens to me!

  3. I wish when I had accidental bread it turned out this good...I love warm, soft bread with butter but I have no luck when trying to make any.

  4. I found a recipe for no knead bread once, and have been meaning to try it. Maybe for Thanksgiving, when I need all the "forget it for a while" stuff I can find!

  7. That looks delicious. I admit I still have not tried the no-knead method. I think I enjoy the therapy that pounding the dough gives me. :p

  10. I would gladly be your neighbor to help you eat up all this delicious bread. I bet your freezer is going to have a lot of delicious bread stored in it too. Some warm butter and jam, a cup of coffee and I would be in heaven.

Good luck with your home kitchen improvement.
