I know I have not given many pictures lately, but they have been downright boring. Everything has been going very well. These pictures look rather dull but until I get my appliances and furniture back in, it won't be exciting.
The floors are birch. They actually match well with the existing mahogany doors and door frames. I will be staining wood for the baseboards. Yes, I am really growing tired of living amidst my furniture in the basement!
I don't know, those floors are beautiful, and I love seeing finished walls. Sheetrock means paint and wallpaper are not far behind, and then the furniture can come home!
My floors are 100 years old and nails just pop up suddenly... I don't think I own a pair of socks without a tear in them!!! I am feeling a little green with envy looking at your perfect floor.... oh new is great sometimes!
The floors look wonderful (and lots of fun for Miss Sugar to bat her toys across) and I really like the wall colour in your kitchen-to-be. You'll soon be cooking up a storm again!
Sending care and cosy warm huggles to you both, Michelle and Zebby Cat
Hi Sarah! I have been following the updates on your renos. I am so excited and happy for you! I can't wait until they are finished and you can finally enjoy the products of your dreams! Happy New Year!! Angie xo
Thank you Angie, and everyone! You are all so sweet. Today the lino is being installed in bath and back entry and trim was delivered. Now I have to paint and stain all those baseboards and window trim. My cabinet guy is waiting in the wings and may start moving my cabinets in tomorrow.
It looks good and it is exciting!!
ReplyDeleteIt does not look dull! The wood floors look fabulous.

ReplyDeleteOh my! I want those floors! What type of wood is it? Maple?

ReplyDeleteI'm about to have my kitchen remodeled. It makes me very anxious. Glad to read how calm you are. I will try to emulate that.
